Business Development Manager
Ian Taylor joined the company in January 2001 to set up and run Taylor Commercial Repairs Ltd which at the beginning was an agent in the South East for the supply of parts and repair (including factory warranty repairs) of Maclift and Telehoist recycling vehicles. This was set up alongside our existing company I. T. Services which was responsible for all our other customers.
Taylor Commercials took over from I.T. Services completely in 2003 to bring all our operations under one name. Since then, Ian’s role within the company has evolved into a Business Development one but also has control of employment law, health and safety, accounts payable and our I.T. systems – all built by Ian using MS Access database software.
Outside of work, Ian is a keen tennis player, salsa dancer, socialiser and occasional triathelete! He completed the UK Ironman (a triathlon involving a 2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26 mile marathon run consecutively) in 2007 in a time of 15hrs, 8mins and 40 seconds!
